WE ARE CREATING AN ATHLETIC COMMUNITY THAT CHANGES LIVES
WE ARE ATHLETES
WE ARE COACHES
WE ARE COMMUNITY-BUILDERS
WE BELIEVE YOUTH ATHLETICS PROVIDES THE MOST STRATEGIC OPPORTUNITY TO HELP YOUNG PROPLE BE MENTALLY AND EMOTIONALLY PREPARED FOR LIFE.
PEOPLE > PERFORMANCE
Our mission is to develop full-hearted coaches who prepare young people for life.
We envision a world where athletics teaches every kid that they belong and matter for who they are, not how they perform.
EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR ATHLETIC COACHES
We know that only emotionally healthy coaches can develop emotionally healthy athletes. Our core programs grow coaches’ self-awareness and ability to lead relationally. All coaches in our programs move through our four-step process of transformation:
OPEN
to the idea that to be a better coach you have to be a better you
ENGAGE
in self-awareness process
EXPERIENCE
support through peer community
ENCOURAGE
depth of living and intentional leadership
LED BY OUR VALUES
Day in and day out, you can expect every NCC representative to embody our core values.
COURAGE
we have heart and take risks
WHOLENESS
we value all aspects of ourselves and of others
AUTHENTICITY
we are who we say we are and we do what we say we will do
COMMUNITY
we believe relationship is the greatest change-agent
INNOVATION
we do not settle for the status quo
WHAT MAKE US DIFFERENT
We are focused on deep impact and lasting change.
PROCESS-ORIENTED APPROACH
We know change takes time. We are not in the business of quick fixes or a better playbook. We are doing the long, slow work of transforming mindsets and hearts.
EMPHASIS ON MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL HEALTH
We believe that emotional intelligence is more important than IQ for effective, whole-hearted leadership. Our programs are designed to take coaches “below the waterline” to address the core issues that enable healthy leadership.
CONTEXTUALIZED WITHIN PEER COMMUNITY
Relationships are our greatest strategy. We need like-minded leaders to help us grow and stay the course. All our work is done connecting coaches to other coaches in meaningful ways so that no one has to lead alone.
